A friendly warm-up on the par-35 front nine, modeled after the links style found in Scotland, is followed by a sterner test of majestic tree-lined fairways and natural marshes found on the homeward nine. Make no mistake, the front nine is not lacking in drama with holes like the downhill par-3 fourth hole, playing its entire length over water at 222 yards from the back tees, and the 384-yard, par-4 seventh, a slight dogleg right with water in play on both the drive and second shots. River Run’s contrasting back nine rolls through wooded terrain and the signature hole can be found at the 13th, this par-4 requires a precise shot off the tee to leave you with a lofted iron approach shot over marshland to a shallow green that is guarded in the front and on two sides by marsh and water.

End your day with a visit to the Starr Restaurant at River Run serving some of the finest dishes with views of the scenic St. Martins River.
