War Admiral at GlenRiddle By Joel Weiman and Jim Furyk
GlenRiddle Farms is located on Route 50, just 5 miles from downtown Ocean City. This horse-to-course legend began to materialize with the modern routing of the Man O’War and was followed up a few years later by the development of the War Admiral Course. Suddenly, the saga was complete and a 36-hole golf wonderland that is a crowning jewel of the Ocean City golf was created.
War Admiral, named after the 1937 Triple Crown winner, offers beautiful tidal marshes, mature tree-lined fairways and stretches 6,889 yards from the back tees. This course is the ultimate challenge for the scratch golfer, while the huge oak trees that provide a bit of shelter from the coastal winds will increase the playability for golfers of all levels.
To add to the truly spectacular golf experience, the GlenRiddle Golf Club, features a practice range with a dual grass tee area, chipping and putting greens, full locker room facilities, fully stocked pro shop and is also home to the GlenRiddle School of Golf and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. How’s that for a prestigious closing act?

Pam's Playing Tip
On Man O'War, you can pull out the driver on any par four except for Hole 17 and if the pin is in the back position, go easy or the ball will roll off the back and end up in the water. Be ready to bring your "A" game when playing War Admiral as you will be facing forced carries, water hazards, and fast greens. You'll need lots of target golf shots to score well.
